Why The Blog (Words from the Author)
I created LorenzoWebberSays as an outlet to voice an opinion on everyday matters. Its nice to have an idea, but even better when you share it and get feedback from others. I love reading blogs and feel that they are an effective way of serving people and sharing life lessons. Its one thing to put of a few inspirational posts on Facebook, but an entirely different thing to dissect a subject in front of people's eyes. I hope people read my work and truly get something out of it, to the point that they can apply it to their lives. Look forward to writing poems, political views, and inspirational thoughts for people to share with the world.
About the Author
Lorenzo Bonaventure Webber does a little bit of everything. He enjoys writing, speaking, and inspiring others to fulfill their full potential. Mr. Webber holds extensive organization management and professional development experience. During his high school and undergraduate years Mr. Webber held numerous leadership positions within the student government and statewide intercollegiate organizations. Many times being charged with recruitment, training, project management and long term planning.
At St. Joseph High School in Westchester Illinois, Mr. Webber served as a peer minister and student government officer. At Triton College in River grove Illinois, Mr. Webber served as student body Vice President and President. On the state level Mr. Webber served as Lt. Governor and Governor in an intercollegiate government simulation known as Model Illinois Government in which he received various awards. At Living Word Christian Center in Forest Park Illinois, he also serves as a young adult leader within the youth ministry.
As a Program Assistant for Special Initiatives at Triton College, Lorenzo Webber coordinates programs and conducts leadership workshops while carrying out numerous institutional initiatives. As an Artist Development Facilitator for Ekklesia Music Group, Mr. Webber assist newly signed artist with developing a series of skills needed in order to excel in the music industry. Just recently named the Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer for Empowerment Academy, Mr. Webber seeks to serve the youth by inspiring them to become agents of change.
After receiving his Associate’s degree from Triton College, Lorenzo Webber is currently pursuing a bachelor degree in Applied Behavioral Science and minor in Public Policy from National Louis University. His educational background affords him the ability to understand group dynamics, team cohesion, and effective decision making.
Throughout Mr. Webber’s life he has been exposed to individual from various socioeconomic backgrounds. Mr. Webber’s diverse background affords him the ability to effectively work with others, complete projects in a timely manner, and effectively fulfill the duties assigned.
